Carnage: New Mold- New Possibilities!

Here is my first custom utilizing the new mold for Vinylmation- Spiderman's nemesis, Carnage! On this particular custom, I used the Marine Lobster figure as the base to capture Carnage's signature claws.
As everyone else, I was not too impressed with the new mold initially. However, after seeing the shape in person, it has really grown on me. From a customizing point of view, it has a much smoother and flatter surface to work with and allows for much more detail! My designs will no longer be constrained by the limitations of the bold facial features that were present on the original figures. Going forward, I'll be using this new mold with a lot of my customs and I hope the change will be welcomed. :)

Haunted Mansion Skeleton!

Here is the first completed collaboration piece between myself and Alex Major (Pixel) of Vinylnation.net. The custom was designed by Alex and is a meshing of creepy Haunted Mansion styling with subtle hints of Australia, the home of the intended buyer. Once I received the design, I got to work painting, trying my best to capture all the detail of the original design. Only my 2nd 9" custom to work on thus far, it was a great and fun oppourtunity! Keep a look out for many more collaboration pieces between Alex and I, as we have many more in the works! Enjoy :)

Here is a 9" commission I did based on the buyers company logo- The Lucky Devil! It was quite a challenge transferring such a distinctive look to fit the vinyl shape but I'm really happy with how it turned out. The mustache and goatee are add-on pieces as I thought they needed to stand-out. While I love keeping the integrity of the vinyl shape, I bend the rules when its appropriate! :)

"Our Favorite Vinylmation series just got smaller!"

Here is a bit of a secret project I have been working on for the last few months- a complete set of Park 1 Vinylmation Jr.'s! While smaller then their 3" counterparts, and with the exception of a few small details that needed to be simplified, all of the original details are there, from the swirls on Teacups, the shading on Bad Apple, to the sparkles on the stars of Magical Stars! I hope I did the originals justice :) A very time consuming project but I found it to be a great experience and had a lot of fun making them. Hope you all like them! Comments/Feedback greatly appreciated!

He has a turn table, with a hidden "F" the first letter of the owners name, a record on the head with headphones around it, sneakers, and Hip Hop written on the back! Urban 1 Monster 9" Tribute!

Here is my first ever 9" Vinylmation custom, and it's none other then my current obsession... Urban 1 Monster! I am "army building" the Monsters, and I thought it would make for a more interesting display if I had a 9" to go with them. The most challenging part was matching the colors but I got them surprisingly VERY close. All the details of the 3" are on the custom, right down to the button details. The 9" are pretty fun to make but incredibly time consuming so I can't say you'll be seeing too many from me

Zombie Mickey! Definitely darker then what I normally make, it was pretty fun to Zombify Mickey! Don't mind the blood and exposed brains I couldn't capture it in the pics but the blood splatter on his chest forms a hidden Mickey.
